Consensus vs. actual

Markets often move on the gap between the consensus estimate and the actual release, not the absolute number. A 'beat' or 'miss' is measured against expectations.

Importance ratings

High-importance events (rate decisions, CPI, jobs) tend to move markets broadly; low-importance prints rarely do. Ratings are the vendor's, and judgment varies.

Times are vendor-supplied

Release times and time zones are as supplied by the data vendor and may differ from official sources. Confirm critical times with the issuing agency.
